Description
The cause of combination skin is inconsistent sebum production. That’s why your skin has both oily and dry areas.
In the oily areas — mostly along the T-zone — the skin produces too much sebum. This encourages the clogging of the pores, which often leads to impurities such as pimples or blackheads. In the dry skin areas — mostly in the cheek area — your skin produces too little sebum, which is why too much moisture evaporates. Small cracks make the skin susceptible to bacteria — these and excess dead skin cells can also clog the pores.
The treatment of combination skin is about finding the optimal balance. The ideal facial care contains possibly no additives and combines pore-deep cleansing with exfoliation. The skin is supplied with moisture and sustainably soothed.
To note: Active ingredients with sebum-reducing effects should rather be avoided, as the dry skin areas already produce too little sebum.
